Children Cola

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Many toddlers love cola. If was not for them, would be taken at all times. Can you give them whenever they want? Is it better to take them without caffeine?. cola drinks contain caffeine. This substance, consumed in certain quantities, stimulates the central nervous system, increases urine output, cause heart palpitations and insomnia, elevated blood pressure and increases basal metabolism and gastric secretions. To avoid affecting children (more susceptible than adults) is recomendable and always choose the decaffeinated variety. Even so, we should not abuse, because it is a drink that nourishes and supplies vitamins, only a lot of sugar and artificial additives (preservatives, colorings and flavorings). Encourage children to take drinks only occasionally (ban not the solution since it would increase their desire). When thirsty, they can offer healthier drinks: water, fruit juice (if possible, natural) , milk, smoothies, etc..
